How about random testing of smartmatic machines and extract the codes built into these machines? Comelec has total control and we ordinary citizens really are unaware of what’s inside these machines.

Machines delivered to vote rich areas can tip the outcome of this election. I hope programmers can enlighten us how fail safe the machines are or how to spot the code within that has something in between the lines where a vote for Noynoy is credited to Villar or a vote for Gordon is credited to Teodoro. All I know as in simple html programming that when you type in even a small code, the end result changes your web page into a totally different picture.

I think they should plan for a complete parallel run during this election. Meaning, all precincts should have a manual as well as an automated counting. This will serve two purposes. First, as a back-up in case the automation fails for certain precincts. And more importantly, as the final validation of the Poll Automation process. So that when we have the next elections there will no longer be any questions on the validity of the process.
